Mount Manaslu is the eighth tallest mountain on Earth,
standing at a towering height of 8,163 meters, or 26,781 feet, above the sea.
Mount Manaslu, the eighth tallest peak globally, stands at 8,163 meters (26,781 feet) above sea level and is located in the Mansiri Himal range in Nepal's Gorkha District. It's also known as the "mountain of the spirit" and referred to as Mt. Kutung in Tibet. Found about 64 kilometers east of Mount Annapurna, it was first summited by Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu on May 9, 1956. While there were earlier attempts, it wasn't legally accessible until 1991. Since then, it has been a favorite among experienced trekkers, but due to its isolation, trekking here is restricted to organized groups. The region's remoteness poses challenges for rescue operations.
